SOUNDS OF ESPERANCE

MUSIC FESTIVAL & COMMUNITY MUSIC PROJECT

Working in Esperance Schools and with community musicians to create an annual music festival, fostering, showcasing and elevating Esperance talent!

The Sounds of Esperance is a community-wide music initiative by Australian Baroque and the Esperance Civic Centre, supported by the Shire of Esperance and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and local community members. It brings together hundreds of local school children, choirs, instrumentalists, bands and professional musicians in a celebration of Esperance.

The project introduces inclusive singing programs in primary schools, supports community ensembles, and culminates in the Sounds of Esperance Festival.

The Sounds of Esperance builds confidence, connection and cultural pride across the region while establishing a new annual Esperance Music Festival.

The next mentoring TOUR DATES are:

Wednesday May 6-7 with Pia Harris and Helen Kruger

Singing together is one of the most powerful forms of human connection — Eric Whitacre.

With over 7 tours to Esperance in 2026, Australian Baroque musicians will work with Nulsen and Castletown Primary Schools, writing a new song about Esperance and working with the wonderful songs in the Massed Choir Program.

Australian Baroque will also work with community musicians, ensembles and bands. To become part of the Sounds of Esperance project get in touch with our Esperance-based Project Manager Tami McMahon.
